40 contact hours for each core course.
The Infinity Institute learning experience offers students the
opportunity to learn hypnosis, hypnotherapy and therapeutic touch
academically and experientially. Students participate in exercises
designed to enhance personal and professional growth as well as learn how
to positively impact the lives of others.
Additional Elective courses may be required by professional
organizations for additional certifications.

Certification and Registration
-
All students who successfully complete Basic,
Advanced and Hypnoanalysis Training courses are eligible for Certification
and Registration with one or more internationally recognized
Hypnosis/Hypnotherapy organizations and associations.
To provide excellence in hypnosis and holistic health education and
encourage programs to further the knowledge, understanding and application
of Hypnosis and holistic therapies in complimentary health care; to
encourage research and scientific publication in the field of Hypnosis and
holistic health care; to promote the further recognition and acceptance of
hypnosis as an important protocol in health care and focus for further
scientific research; to cooperate with other professional organizations
that share mutual goals, ethics and interests; and to provide well trained
Hypnotherapists as holistic health practitioners to the medical profession
as well as the community at large. Infinity Institute International, Inc
is licensed by the State of Michigan to teach Hypnosis as an occupation,

History
Infinity Institute International, Inc is the first state licensed
Hypnosis Training School in the USA owned by a woman. It was founded in
1980 by Anna H. Spencer, PhD for the purpose of offering a foundational
hypnosis training program available to the general public. Over time it
has provided and promoted a greater acceptance of hypnosis as a
complimentary protocol with broad applications to the medical/health
profession, and allied fields of education. In addition there have been
thousands who have graduated from theses courses and are now providing
this therapeutic intervention when called upon to do so. Graduates are
encouraged to continue their education and join with larger Hypnosis
organizations for their professional betterment and advancement.
Students and Graduates cross a broad range of occupations and
professions. They include and are not limited to: Hypnotherapists; Hypno-counselors,
psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers, marriage and family
therapists, ministers, mental health counselors, chiropractors, doctors,
nurses, anesthetists, dentists, medical professionals and technicians, as
well as teachers, addictions counselors, holistic health practitioners,
and persons looking for a new career plus a vast variety of therapists. As
an interdisciplinary institute, Infinity Institute International, Inc.
provides an opportunity to learn from and interact with others in diverse
disciplines. This allows for cross fertilization of ideas and applications
that mesh neatly with current trends, such as mind-body-emotion-spirit
health and integrative medicine.
In 2009, James Duncan, CHt., himself a graduate of Infinity Institute
and a globally recognized hypnosis innovator and educator, was personally
selected by founder, Dr. Anna Spencer to take over the institute and not
only carry on her original vision but expand upon the exceptional programs
which have been a mainstay of the global hypnosis education community for
over 30 years.
