I don’t know for sure why cancer happens, but I do have some theories concerning it. 1: A person’s belief system; 2: parasites; 3: a breakdown of the immune system.  I believe also that smoking, both first and second hand, contributes to the cause.  Possibly high tension power lines could be a contributing factor. There are many more theories explaining cancer causes than a ream of paper could explain.
My mother’s mother died of breast cancer when my mom was only 7 years old.  My Mom was always afraid of getting cancer, and she did. After a breast was removed she was fine for several years, but then developed stomach cancer. Surgery was once again successfully performed. Mom passed over at the age of 93 years, 6 months and 9 days. She was in her fifties when the cancer originally occurred.
I always said I would never have breast cancer, I just didn’t say I would never have cancer.
When I was about 2 years old, my mother, father and I went to visit my grandparents on my father’s side. We had a collie named Buster and my grandparents had a cat. My Dad was holding the cat when Buster got out of the car and the cat scratched my Dad’s face. It wouldn’t heal and he ended up with skin cancer. He lost one ear lobe because of it.
I moved to Southern California on July 30, 1997 to be closer to family and to finish writing my books. I really didn’t want to come here. I love Northern California and I have many friends there, but I didn’t listen to myself. Then on August 30, 1997 I once again ignored my intuition and I went with a friend, visiting from the Bay Area, to her time share. I talked myself out of the idea not to go and that’s when I fell and broke my hip. It necessitated a hip replacement and a two month hospital stay.
In January, 1998, I began having a deep itchy feeling under my right breast–deep inside. Determined to follow my intuition from now on, I went to a doctor. All kinds of tests were performed and the cancer was discovered in my left ovary.
The cancer I experienced (NOTE: I don’t say “my cancer.” I refuse to claim it) I really believe to be caused by my being in a place that I didn’t want to be, and the breakdown of my immune system caused by the accident.
I worked with several clients in Alameda suffering with brain cancer, neck or ear cancer. They lived in a five mile radius of each other in an area with lots of high tension power lines. Another cause?
My ex husband was a heavy smoker–4 packs of Pall Malls a day. Within six months after we divorced he married an alcoholic. He was always complaining, “ I’m so tired of it all.” He got sick and tired and died of Leukemia.
Feelings on my own cancer.
When the cancer was discovered, it was spreading rapidly toward my lungs and I was considered a stage 4, with probably 4 to 5 months to live. I discussed with my Gynecologist having Chemo before surgery. Patients in Italy were having great success by doing it that way with almost 80% to 90% success rate. Agreeing, my doctor gave me the drugs Carbo-platan and Taxol. I went through chemo every three weeks until December and my operation on the seventeenth. The doctors were surprised that the two tumors had shrunk substantially. The operation, expected to last between four to six hours, lasted forty minutes.  (After a short recovery I received two more treatments of chemo, just in case any cancer cells remained.)
(Then again after three more weeks of recovery I received two more Chemo treatments to get any more cancer floating around. My doctor checked me out and gave me an all clear, no more cancer.)
Chemo treatments leave the body feeling very tired, largely because it wipes out the immune system. More people die of malnutrition after chemo than of the cancer itself. Food tastes awful and one has no desire to eat. Before deciding upon Chemo or radiation, it’s important to know that both treatments are carcinogenic and can actually cause cancer. It’s important to be in control, which is difficult when you feel like the cancer is in control.
What I did about it
A friend of mine from Alameda brought me a juicer so I could drink fresh carrot juice every day–and sometimes beet juice. I cut out all red meat, ate very little chicken and occasionally fish. I ate lots of fresh vegetables and fruits. The difficult part was, and is, not being able to drive to purchase what I need when I need it. The doctors insisted on my eating processed foods two weeks after the Chemo. Since the blood count goes down so low with Chemo, the doctors feel fresh fruit hinders the build up of the blood count. I also take vitamins (IDN) and CoQ10, which doctors are now discovering cures cancer of all types.
Exercise is also very important, which was difficult with a walker. Thank goodness I have a dog and am forced to walk.
Another thing I did was meditate every day and I \still do, along with self hypnosis. While receiving the Chemo treatment I would be in a semi private room where I not only used hypnosis on myself but on others in the room.
I used the Carl Simonton and Bernie Siegal methods, reinforcing good appetites and using pain control methods. I would work with anyone who would listen. I found that the nurses even seemed to spend more time in the room listening, admitting that hypnosis would help them with their much needed relaxation.
I also used Reiki on myself and had it sent long distance by friends along with their prayers.
