Epstein Barr and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome |

First of all, let me introduce myself. My name is Carrie Apap. I am a spiritual being of light, experiencing in this body being a wife, mother, part owner of a beauty salon and gallery, hairstylist, Reiki Master, student of Aromatherapy, teacher and student of meditation, and of course now a student of hypnotherapy. During this journey life has been good to me in many ways. It has also created some interesting challenges. The challenges are what have caused me to grow the most. My biggest challenge has been my physical body. At 21, I experienced a virus that changed my life forever. It was a very sever intestinal virus that left me completely exhausted and unable to eat much for six weeks, which damaged my pancreas, causing severe hypoglycemia. For the next 22 years I faced several bouts with the same virus - always intense for about six weeks, followed by a year’s hard work to regain some stability. Seven years ago, while I was facing this challenge once again, a wise doctor noticed my symptoms were similar to a virus he had read much about. A blood test identified the virus as Epstein Barr, and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. Now for the first time, I knew the truth. I became as informed about the virus as possible, discovering that the most effective way to approach this disease was through natural, holistic methods. Fortunate to have found a holistic nutritionist and doctor, I now enjoy a state of health and well being greater than any time in my life-better than before my first experience with EBV. For me hypnotherapy is the key that unlocks the door to awareness. It brings the subconscious or inner conscious to awareness, so that both conscious and subconscious can be in harmony to bring positive and progressive direction to life. In the state of hypnosis I am in a relaxed and open place willing to take suggestion for that subconscious thought which does not serve me in a positive way. The subconscious thought is the true ruler of the body. For something so powerful it certainly is vulnerable. The knowledge and awareness through the study of hypnosis brings understanding of the vulnerability of the subconscious. Through this awareness I can more closely monitor and develop the subconscious to serve me constructively, allowing it to receive only those messages that will serve me well, while removing myself from those situations where the messages are negative. It seems I have used many of these techniques I have used in “Basic Hypnotherapy” with my meditations, Reiki, and daily affirmations. With marvelous results in these areas, I now know why they worked. Understanding more clearly the power of the subconscious gives me much more confidence in the work I do with myself and others. Hypnotherapy opens a whole New World for me. I am delighted to be a part of this learning process. To me it is the opening of what I call superconsciousness or mastering body, mind, and spirit. It is about mastering the subconscious that I may share this experience with those willing. I know as more and more of us can move forward in this awareness we will emerge a much stronger society. Looking at the big picture, the possibilities are unlimited. It is a strengthener of faith and courage, and a destroyer of doubt. Having had to rely on many homeopathic medicines and herbal remedies I see hypnotherapy as the most natural and ultimately inexpensive medicine available to man. Not that there is no place for the other modalities of medicine, for they certainly have their place, however, there comes a time when we have to act on our own to be completely healed. Hypnotherapy is effective in all stages of recovery and healing. I read a book a few months back that took brief mention of hypnotherapy, at that time I knew I must learn hypnotherapy, not understanding exactly why. It is my main goal in life to live in unconditional love for myself and all people, and to have the opportunity to share and teach this energy to all who are willing to learn and use it in their own expression of the perfection of who they are.
