Freedom Offered to Everyone

In this time of Advent as I sit and contemplate I am reminded of the words spoken in A Course in Miracles. "The time of Christ is the time appointed for the gift of freedom, offered to everyone. And by your acceptance of it, you offer it to everyone. It is in your power to make this season holy, for it is in your power to make the time of Christ be now."

What an awesome feeling to behold, we really can make a difference! All we have to do is to let go of FEAR and all of its derivatives - anger, doubt, resentment, guilt, frustration, criticism, condemnation, complaining, expectation of others, depression, limitation, impossible, difficult, ought to, should, if only, any words that tend to measure or evaluate us or other people… You can be sure that what is not love is fear in one form or another!

Love is the real meaning of the Christmas story. As this century comes to a close we can have our spiritual birthday. We can decide to let 'Love' be our guiding light as it was for the shepherds and the Three Wise Men. We are all shepherds and wise men/women in our own way for we are the caretakers of this planet and we have the talent to use our wisdom for the good of all. We can bring gifts of joy, happiness, smiles, hellos, praise and positive attitudes to everyone we meet and greet. This is what love is all about. As we recognize the lovely light that shines from every soul that we encounter, we become aware of our own light. Just imagine how many people's lives you will directly effect by giving your light to others. It will be a continuous stream into the next decade and beyond. There will be ribbons of light, perhaps the color of the rainbow in every corner of the globe because you chose to be a love giver and a love receiver.

This is the time of year that we busy ourselves with thinking about gift giving - let's make this Christmas one to remember. Give the gift of love. As you do, it will be the kindling to keep the fire of love burning during the long days of winter. Keep playing Christmas Carols, they are full of positive affirmations and keep your heart Chakra open. Listen for the message of Christmas. The message is in all religions - practice loving your neighbor as yourself. Love begets love, just as the opposite begets itself.

Let this day be your decision day (D-Day). Decide to be a love giver and receive your freedom. Do it now. Accept the gift of the babe as he holds his hands out to you. He offers his light to help light your path. As you accept it you have it to offer to others. It is just that easy. You have been empowered with Love!
