Regression Hypnosis and the Abductee Phenomenon

Hypnosis can be an invaluable tool in unlocking hidden memories in the subconscious mind. By placing an individual into a heightened state of relaxation , the hypnotist / hypnotherapist can retrieve lost or suppressed memories of events . We see this clearly in police work , where a witness to a crime can't recall key details but was clearly in a position to do so . Sometimes hypnosis , a deepened state of relaxation , allows this information to flow from the subconscious to the conscious state , and thereby might reveal invaluable information towards the solving of the crime ( such as license plate numbers on vehicles, …) .
My interest is many faceted ; in particular the use of hypnosis in the abductee / experiencer phenomenon . There is evidence that points to several reasons why information concerning events might be " lost " ( " lost time " ) or forgotten . Either the event is too traumatic , manifesting in P.T.S.D. - post traumatic stress disorder - and is suppressed by the abductee / experiencer themselves , or the flow of information is purposely cut off , suppressed , subjugated , by the abductors themselves . This perhaps through an extremely powerful form of post - hypnotic suggestion where the abductees themselves act as their own reinforcer of the initial alien suggestion NOT to remember . Or perhaps the implanting of a miniature monitoring / behavior control device into the abductee's body ( commonly in the nose/ brain region ) to suppress future recall . Only now can we begin to understand what can be achieved through Nano Technology .
The abductee often argues with his/ her captors over this . When told " You will not recall …", or " You must not remember …", or " You will not remember until the time is right …", or " You have been chosen . All memories will return when the time is at hand …". Or simply " You will not recall this experience !" The "entities " have implanted a powerful suggestion that, no matter how hard on tries , one can never recall what actually happened .
And here we run into an entirely new set of problems which confront the hypnotist , namely " screen memories " ( - of "Owls" or " Deer" with particularly large eyes . See W. Streiber or B. Hopkins ) How strong is the alien hypnotic method ? " How do we truly know when we've broken through to the "real" initial incident ? This presents a dilemma for the hypnotherapist : multi layers of implanted false memory , each acting as a reinforcer for the one before .
The following is an excerpt from one of the cases in my files . It occurred on or around April 24, 1992 :

" This happened within the last several days , maybe Tues. or Wed. ; all day I had this "odd feeling " as if I were being " watched", spied upon . I felt insecure though for no apparent reason . As the evening drew on the feeling became intense , as if I were in imminent danger ! I stayed up until probably 2 am then went to bed . Immediately I began to "hear in my head " , very clearly , a voice talking to me telepathically . I recall thinking to myself how clear this voice was "coming through". It was a male voice , familiar, I knew I'd heard it before and I feared it ! They wanted to see me again ( the aliens) but only on their terms . It had to be their terms ."
" I informed them ( telepathically) that I would resist them unless we could meet on equal terms , without control over my mind / body / soul being exercised by them - and without memory erasure ! He told me very calmly why they had to act this way , why they operated this way , and everything he said seemed to make perfect sense . I almost felt guilty not submitting to them - yet I persisted in my resistance . I said -" It will NOT be like last time ! " And -" If we can only meet on equal terms , who knows , I might even allow you to study me , as long as you told me before hand what is going on and your reasons for doing it and it will not result in physical injury to me ."
At no time did he get angry ; the entire conversation was calm , almost hypnotic ( - I just thought of it : perhaps they can induce hypnosis and sleep telepathically ), and friendly . I suddenly wanted to see them , to help them the more we talked , but I stuck by my demands - it HAD to be on equal terms . He enumerated 3 reasons why they cannot allow but I find them hard to recall : 1.) One was technical ; their inability to do the procedure while I'm coherent . 2.) This was physical : I believe they truly feel threatened by " the male strain of the species " because we seem to react to their appearance more violently than women and children . They have to use very little control with children ( Note : Children often have the best recall) . 3.) It is for our own good not to recall or remember because memory would make it " difficult to operate in your lives". I think these are the reasons he gave ; there might have been more. It's as if I could feel them in my room . I peered in the darkness , even got up to look around a few times . Why ? I did'nt hear or see anything - but I felt it so strongly you could cut it with a knife ! And that is precisely what I intended to do - I clutched my sheath knife all night long until I fell asleep . I was left with an overpowering feeling that direct communication/ contact was imminent .
" I also recall saing to him that I'd seen them before , I know what they look like and I'm used to their appearance. That I would'nt "fear" them . In any case I did'nt buy his arguments . We could'nt agree . Why did he even ask my permission ? I don't know, but I felt he respected me .Maybe the weapon had something to do with it , but I doubt it .I felt that if they wanted to take me there is'nt much I can do physically - but much I could do mentally/ psychically . And this aspect was all important for the success of their venture . Who knows? "

Who are these " entities"? Occupants of ships from distant planets ? Multi - dimensional beings ? Perhaps all ; The answers are unclear . Abductees claims cover the entire gamut of definitions - from benevolent space brothers here to help us ( with ourselves ?) to malevolent beings who take us against our will and perform experiments on us that are tantamount to genetic manipulation . For what reason ? This is the "key" , the Holy Grail , so to speak . Whoever finds the answer to this question unlocks a great part of the mystery . For " abductions " of human beings by " alien entities" seem to be a cornerstone of "their" operations here , on this level .
No matter what one knows about the subject , how long one has investigated or how many books one has read , we are still in the dark about what is going on .This is the fascination, for with hypnosis as a tool we can, perhaps, reveal enough information eventually to give us a clear picture to answer all of our questions .
If one looks at the Barney and Betty Hill case from Sept. of 1961 , we see the first use of hypnosis by a psychotherapist ( B. Simon, M.D.) in uncovering "missing time " ( 2 hrs. in this case) and hidden traumatic memory . But also uncovered was important verification information such as Betty's " Star Map", known as the "Zeta Reticuli Incident " ( 2 stars 220 million miles away ! The alien showed Betty a 3 -D map with various sized dots on it …) which she saw aboard the alien craft and under hypnosis was given a strong post - hypnotic suggestion to be able to draw the map upon awakening . At the time this system of stars was unknown , and it took over a decade for astronomers to confirm it's existence ! This is truly an amazing story and I would suggest to anyone interested in regressive hypnosis to read it ( " The Interrupted Journey " by John G. Fuller )
So yes, important information is out there waiting to be unlocked , released from the individual's subconscious mind . These people most often come to the field investigator first , as in my case as a longtime M.U.F.O.N. investigator and member ( Mutual UFO Network) . I am also a member of C.U.F.O.S. ( The J.Allen Hynek Center for UFO Studies). I have lectured extensively and have appeared on TV and radio programs discussing the subject.And I am a long time student of hypnosis . Many are only able to recall a small portion of an experience, the "tip of the iceberg". After investigating the incident , sighting, one can usually see the tell - tale signs of suppressed memory or trauma .Sometimes physical traces are left ( - scars, …) and then hypnotherapy can then be suggested and administered by a knowledgeable and experienced therapist . Amateurism has no place in this field of study . The possibilities are too important .
Hypnosis is a vital tool in the eventual unraveling of this complex phenomenon - no less valid and important than anything else we might use . Much advancement has already been made using it . Finding out who truly is an "abductee" and the parameters of what this really means . And then with follow - up work by men such as Roger k. Leir, Dr., D.P.M., in uncovering physical evidence of ET implants in humans ( - see book -"The aliens and the Scalpel " by Lier) we will solve this mystery someday , and hypnosis will be at the forefront of the exposure .
